Not Caring About What People Think

A note to readers: this is a very random blog post and probably not the best constructed one but I just started typing while I was thinking and this came out, enjoy.
So, this is not a very long blog post but I was recently talking to an old school friend of mine about things that happened in my past such as: relationships, school, college, friendships and this is how I got inspired to write this…
So, I’m focusing on the topic of school today, one sentence sums it up, I hated it and I’m going to tell you why, I was bullied in school. I wasn’t lucky enough to be one of the populars, you know who they are, all schools have them. The girls who are mean and wear their skirts so short that you can pretty much see their underwear. I wasn’t smart like the people who got A’s in every subject. I was pretty much an outcast. School wasn’t fun for me, I just tried to focus on my studies and not the complete idiots that were surrounding me. But now that I’m not in school and I’ve grown up I realize that being different and standing out is a good thing, who cares if you’re not popular, the people who were popular in school don’t stay popular forever.
I used to care so much about what people thought about me. But earlier on I was blasting music and dancing around my room like no one was watching, looking like a complete idiot, literally if someone saw me they would think I was mental but I just didn’t care I was having fun and that’s all that mattered and it made me think about how much people care about what other people think and we shouldn’t. people should be free to express themselves in any way they want to, wear what you want, do what you want, stand out, dance like nobody’s watching. Be you.
